Know of any other great enzyme cleaners? Feel free to post in comments!
Genesis 950 is a great way to clean pet stains. It is a green surfactant based cleaner. Unlike enzymatic cleaners, it works to break the bonds of the stains and lift them from the surface. In some cases, enzymatic cleaners might not be able to remove stains and odors as they are formulated to very specific stain types. Factors in pet's diet, health and so on can prevent enzymes from properly working against the stain. In this event, the odor or stain might return a few days later. Likewise, some of the cleaners listed above are soap based, and in turn can actually attract dirt - once again making the stain more visible as time goes on. Another issue is that none of these cleaners kill the germs and bacteria responsible for the odors associated with pet stains. Genesis 950 has antibacterial elements which kill those odor causing germs and remove the smell. If the area is not properly deodorized, the smell will return or your pet might be attracted to that spot and continue going there!
