Yellow Dog Project


So do you know what a yellow ribbon on a dog's collar means? Me neither till I thought about it for a little bit and read this article.....

Actually it is a really good idea. If your dog has anxiety or fear issues or just gets overly excited, the yellow ribbon can caution people to be careful around your dog. Their would probably be less dog bite instances or accidental injuries from a nervous or over-excited pet.
Some animal shelters/rescues actually use a a color system to identify animals you have to be more careful to work around especially good for warning volunteers about dogs that are potentially aggressive for whatever behavioral reason. It also is good for potential adopters maybe the dog might have a certain characteristic that is favored or unfavorable. All in all it's a good idea
